“It took the Gary Colvin-trained gelding by Farnan six starts to break through, but now that he’s shed the maiden tag, don’t be surprised if he makes it back-to-back in what looks a very winnable race. He resumed from a spell two runs ago at Wagga, finishing a neck off the winner as the short-priced favourite, before going one better at Albury a fortnight later when saluting by a length. He now steps up to BM58 grade and, despite the wide draw, should be in the finish and prove hard to hold out. Commands serious respect.”
