“Resuming from a three month break with a solid trial under his belt, this looks a perfect race for the Joe Pride trained SHALATIN as he looks to breakthrough for a much-deserved maiden victory at Canterbury tonight. This gelding has bumped into a few smart gallopers so far, Fireburn, Sejarden just to name a few and back in a race like this will see him take some beating over the 1100m. His drawn well but likes to settle midfield and be saved for one crack at them in the straight. If he sees daylight in the straight, watch out. Major player.”
